hey everyone, songs are being written and sung, but i don't think fame is a destination on the long (possibly short) road that is Vacant Shadows' music career. Fame would be nice, but it is not what we are looking for, we are looking for a 'bond', or something of that sort - To connect us with the art we love so much that is music.
and remember: we love you

I've recently started having a fascination with custom java applets, especially from this website. Unfortunately, I can't find any easy way to put one on this blog, but if you click on 'All Visual Effects' in the website I linked to, there are lots of cool things to do.

The art of being confused

The art of being confused, also known as confuzzlement, is one that I am an expert in. So dear readers, I advise you read Timothy and my blog, but become as little like me as possible, for it only takes one word out of place for me to be completely and utterly CONFUZZLED! Timothy on the other hand is very able to stay un-confuzzled, and an expert at the art of confuzzling! So follow his lead whenever possible! And remember: WE LOVE YOU!

I have no idea what a tsunami's like. Which is why, being an odd type, I decided to write about one. So here it is:

Beneath the dark and restless waves something stirs. Slight movements grow into earth-shaking tremors. Fish swim away into the gloom, frightened of this great, waking beast. Sand slips off the great curves of the seascape as the ground roars and divides, inhaling the water with its mighty maw.

Above the dark and restless waves all is calm. A vendor on the edge of the beach is closing down his stall, offering the last of his ice cream to families. A small girl, leaving the beach with her parents, is entranced by the colours and flavours. She saunters down to the stall, and the vendor gives a chocolate ice cream to her. She gazes at it proudly as if she had just won a contest. Her parents smile despite themselves and look out at the horizon. They cannot see it, though.

There are only two moments: one of shock, and the other screaming out to the girl to come back. It is too late. The wave hits them, engulfing them with its crushing grip, the water extinguishing the bright flames of life that they once were. Hearing the rushing sounds, pedestrians and drivers alike turn, only to find themselves facing a looming wall of darkness, cold and power. At once the wall collapses, bringing itself down upon the ground.

A 17 year old is buying a record at a music store. He is excited, as it is his first. The assistant puts the record in a present box and gives it to the boy. He grins and exits the music store. He would go to his house, leisurely take his shoes off, and start the turntable. He goes down the street, almost skipping with delight, and only looks forward.

He is just like the small girl. Gone in one second, he never has time to listen to his record. The wave is a range of mountains, a wall of stone, an impenetrable force against creation.

All is silent.

hello dear readers! I have been busy writing some poems which I am going to share with you! They are not very good but... that's your opinion not mine!
I Am Me by Zara
I am my laugh
I am my sobs
I am my cries
I am me

I am my tears
of sadness and joy
I am my blood
I am me

I am my writing
I am my songs
I am my art
I am me

I am unique
I am not going to change
the simple fact
that I am me.

That's the first one, the second one is called:

My Light
by Zara
My light leads me
It allows me to see
My light makes everything clear

My light is special
And so very important
My light takes away my fear

My light is kind
and I love my light
My light is you my dear

THANKS FOR READING! I hope you liked it! and remember: WE LOVE YOU!

Vacant Shadows

Some people may wonder about the background of the name 'Vacant Shadows'. Most people wouldn't. But for those of you who are wondering, here it is:
Timothy and I were brainstorming. Trying to come up with a band name. I was using a band name generator on Google (sad... I know) and one of the key words Timothy came up with was: Turquoise. I typed it into the generator and one of the options were: Turquoise Vacancy. Timothy and I are talking on skype, I tell him this name and he goes 'Vacancy, I like that'. Our brainstorm continues for another 20 minutes until Timothy comes up with the amazing name: Vacant Shadows. As I do with most of timothy's ideas, I loved it! We came up with a Logo and everything! (of course, there is no music yet!) So everybody, as you drift off to sleep while reading this totally un-gripping tale, remember: WE LOVE YOU!
